Do I need to know Chinese already?
No. The first pages explain pinyin, the four tones, the eight basic strokes and the stroke-order rules before the first character.
Is it A4 or Letter?
US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). It prints well on A4 too — choose “fit to page”.
Does it go with the HSK 1 course?
Yes. The characters overlap closely with HSK 1, so it is the ideal writing companion to the course — or get both in the Starter Bundle.
